Made of lightweight anodized aluminum, these spacers are inserted between the strut and nose fork to increase ground clearance.  While we normally don’t recommend owners use strut spacers (due to the increased bending loads on the strut) these are helpful when trying to regain height lost due to the use of smaller tires such as the Michelin Pilot 11×4.00-5 which tend to be smaller than the traditional Lamb or Aero classics of this size.  When used in this way bending loads are kept within the design intent for the strut.

These spacers have both 1/4″ and 5/16″ hole configurations so they fit all Lancair models but are really most useful with 235, 320, 360, and Legacy models when running the smaller Michelin tire.  Each spacer is 3/16 thick and can be stacked. (We recommend no more than 3 per plane, or 9/16″ total).  To compensate for the Michelin tire typically 2 are required.

These are sold each, in bundles of 2, and bundles of 3.

Note: After installing, be sure to check the fit of your fork in the gear well and with the door!  Adjustments may be required.
