This linkage replaces the original GM26 (GM026) drag brace on Lancair 235 and 320/360 model nose gears while adding a number of improvements. First, it features an upgraded attachment point at the strut bracket. The original design had a simple hole in the bracket with a bolt as the pivot point. This promoted wear in the expensive strut flange hole as the bolt was able to rotate. This design features a bronze bushing and precision ground shaft which is clamped between the strut flanges. The shaft rotates inside of the bushing and there is no rotation of the fastener which completely eliminates wear on the strut flange. 700-0059 and 700-0086 are made of a 7000 series aluminum which was verified in a load test to be approximately 60% stronger then the original from Lancair. This component is preassembled and includes all new hardware needed to install as well as detailed instructions for installation and future service.
The 235 is different from the 320/360 linkage, the 235 is shorter. Be sure to order the proper linkage for your airframe!
