The ETX400-24-VNT is a deep cycle backup aircraft battery. However, it can also be used as a starter battery in limited applications that require cranking amps equal or less than 290 CCA.  The ETX400-24-VNT meets all of the DO-311a lithium battery use in aircraft testing requirements but this is not a TSO or PMA part number.

A battery management system (BMS) fully protects this lithium starter battery. The BMS protects the cell’s from over discharge, over charge, short circuit, temperature, in addition to cell balancing, to ensure charge levels are equal. Additionally, ETX-Hundred Series aircraft batteries have redundant electronic circuits and battery fault indication. The fault indicator can be connected into your EFIS or wired to a 24volt LED light on your control panel to alert you to the state of charge and state of health of the battery.
