This part replaces the original GM39 nose hoop from Lancair on the 235, 320, and 360 models.  It is designed to fit with any of the original Lancair or O’Day Design forks for these models.  This hoop is only compatible with certain axles.  The later GM38 Axle Bushings or O’Day Design 700-0068 Axle Bushings which feature axial retention (large flat) must be used.  It does not fit with the early GM38 Axle Bushings which are intended only to prevent rotation of the axle (small flat).

This hoop has been roll formed to the profile of the original Lancair hoops and has been Type III (hard) anodized which improves its durably.  This makes it less prone to scratching, denting, and galling from interactions with the gear door and runway debris.

The hoop comes with 4X NAS517-3-1 countersunk screws.  These are countersunk to prevent hang-ups with the door.  High strength screws are used to prevent cam out with the screwdriver.
